CEBRI, EPE and IDB launch the Energy Transition Program

CEBRI, the Brazilian Energy Research Office (EPE) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) launched one of Brazil’s most innovative initiatives on energy transition, which also counts on the support and engagement of energy companies. The program will develop scenarios and recommendations for the Brazilian energy sector. Partnership with KAS reinforces the importance of multilateralism

CEBRI and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) developed the project "Reorientation of Multilateralism" to discuss multilateralism and international cooperation to face the pandemic’s impacts. The five policy papers published include recommendations at the national, regional and international levels.

Course on Brazil’s diplomacy gathers former Brazilian Presidents and Ministers

CEBRI’s first online course, “History of Brazilian Diplomacy - From the Empire to the 21st Century,” includes lectures with former Ministers, as well as special talks with former Presidents Fernando Henrique Cardoso, Dilma Rousseff, Michel Temer and Fernando Collor de Mello. A version with English subtitles will be available soon.

CEBRI meets with president of Brazilian Senate’s Foreign Affairs Commission

Specialists and members of CEBRI had a closed-door meeting with Senator Katia Abreu to discuss Brazil-China relations, Brazil’s pandemic response, the environment, and sustainable development in the Amazon.

Countries look at the thirty years of Mercosur and its future

To celebrate Mercosur’s 30th anniversary, CEBRI held a series of discussions with former ministers, ambassadors, and academics from Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay to address the challenges and prospects for South American integration. International panel discusses multilateral politics in the 21st century

Specialists including Kishore Mahbubani, from the National University of Singapore, and Richard Haass, president of the Council on Foreign Relations, discussed the challenges of multilateral politics in a panel hosted by CEBRI in partnership with KAS.
